Apple on one side of the family, grape on the other — and both show up loud in the finished flower. Apple Fritter brings its own legend to the cross: first popped by Lumpy's Flowers out of a Sour Apple x Animal Cookies pairing before it went viral for its baked-good funk. Grape Gasoline is Compound Genetics' in-house creation, a Grape Pie x Jet Fuel Gelato cross built for deep color and a heavier, fuel-forward edge. Put the two together and Compound Genetics — the same California breeding house behind Grape Gasoline itself — landed on something built for the dessert-jar shelf: dense, purple-tinged calyxes buried under a thick blanket of trichomes, with just enough amber hair to break up the color. Crack the jar and it's an apple-grape candy shop up front, sweet and almost effervescent, before a caryophyllene-and-limonene funk creeps in underneath and a whisper of pine and gas rides out on the exhale — the Gasoline side making its presence known. The high opens with a quick mental lift, some clarity and good mood, before the indica half takes the wheel and eases everything down into a heavy-lidded, couch-ready calm. Best saved for the back half of the day — after dinner, once the to-do list is handled — and let it carry you the rest of the way to the couch.
