Seed Junky Genetics has never been shy about remixing its own greatest hits, and this one is what happens when the West Coast's reigning Mints family gets pushed a generation further. Animal Mints already carries Girl Scout Cookies and Fire OG deep in its branches; cross it with Kush Mints, itself a return trip through Bubba Kush and Animal Mints, and you land on a plant with more cookie-and-kush pedigree than almost anything else in circulation. Seed Junky built it alongside Berner's Cookies crew, and it debuted as the flagship jar of the Minntz brand at the 2019 Emerald Cup — the kind of launch that tells you the breeders already knew what they had. Crack the jar and the name explains itself: an oddly clean, floral hand-soap note up front, rose and mint layered over a sweet, cake-batter undertone, with caryophyllene, limonene, and linalool trading off between spice, citrus, and that unmistakable soapy finish on the exhale. The buds run tall and pointed rather than dense, pale green shot through with purple, wrapped in long orange hairs under a heavy frost of trichomes. The high comes on fast and cerebral — a bright, social lift good for conversation and creative tangents — before easing into a looser, settled body feel that never quite pins you down unless you push it.
