Tangie x Purple Punch
Sativa-Leaning Hybrid
Unknown
Both halves of this one carry real pedigree even though nobody will put their name on the cross itself. Tangie is Crockett Family Farms—a third-generation California operation who ran nearly everything they had into their Cali-O cut and landed on the tangerine expression that pulled the market away from fuel and toward citrus. DNA Genetics partnered with them to move it worldwide and acquired the brand and the whole genetics library in 2019. Purple Punch came out of Supernova Gardens in Hawaii around 2012, a Larry OG female hit with a Granddaddy Purple male sourced from Ken Estes, and the clone chain after that gets hard to follow—it moved through a grower called Budologist to The Village and outward from there, quietly, until it detonated in 2017 and parented half of that era's menu. Put the two together and you get fat heart-shaped nugs in olive green with purple working through the bracts, thick yellow-orange pistils, heavy frost. This batch is limonene by a mile with linalool and caryophyllene behind it and a real pinene presence, so the nose delivers exactly what the name promises and then some: tangerine peel and fizzy orange soda up front, sharp and almost effervescent, fresh earth and a skunky berry undertone sitting beneath. Exhale goes sweet-and-sour into grape candy and finishes herbal-pine. It lifts fast, mood before energy—giggly, sociable, easy to focus through—goes tingly across the shoulders, then eases into a calm that never quite tips over. Daytime roll, best outdoors with people.
