Pineapple isn’t a single cut so much as an umbrella name for a handful of tropical-leaning phenotypes that have circulated since the late 2000s. One origin story traces it to Ed Rosenthal’s Super Bud lines, where breeders isolated fruit-forward expressions; another roots it in skunk-heavy stock stabilized for sweetness over fuel. G13 Labs later pushed feminized seeds that cemented the pineapple-candy expectation in commercial markets. The buds run medium-dense, conical to egg-shaped, lime-to-forest green with electric-orange pistils and a sugary trichome shell that snaps tacky when broken. The nose hits ripe pineapple juice and canned-pineapple syrup, layered with tangy citrus, mango, and a faint green-herbal edge; a soft skunk undertone and cedar dryness keep it from cloying. On the palate the sweetness carries through on the inhale, then pivots to a zestier citrus-pine exhale with a creamy, slightly resinous finish that lingers. The high opens with a bright, clear-headed lift — euphoric and chatty without edge — before settling into a mellow body warmth that stays functional. A morning session before a creative project.
