Peanut Butter Breath x Sophisticated Lady
Indica-Leaning Hybrid
Thug Pug Genetics
Gromer built Thug Pug out of Michigan in the mid-2010s and made his name on savory terps nobody else was chasing—Meat Breath, Garlic Breath, Mule Fuel, and the one that changed everything, Peanut Butter Breath, which took third at the 2018 Emerald Cup, first at the 2019 Karma Cup, and now has well over a hundred documented descendants from other breeders. This is that plant crossed to Sophisticated Lady, which is Gage Green Genetics' work—the Ghost cut of OG Kush run into their Grateful Breath stud, a pairing of two of the more closely held lines in American breeding. Genetically it lands as OG stacked on OG with OGKB running through nearly every branch: the Ghost cut on one side, Face/Off on the other, Cookies threaded all the way down. Small-to-medium spade nugs, deep forest green with plum flecking when the nights run cool, thick rust-orange pistils, a chunky golden trichome blanket that makes it sticky to break up. This batch came back limonene and myrcene almost dead even with a real hit of linalool behind them, and that's worth knowing, because the family reputation promises pepper and this plant goes somewhere better than pepper. It's bright citrus over damp earth and cookie dough, a soft floral edge, cookie batter and mint on a long cure, pine on the back end. It's also a creeper—it takes a minute to show itself, then washes down from the neck out, holds a lucid and oddly creative middle stretch, and closes heavy. Save it for the end of the night.
