The short version is that this plant exists because somebody did the laundry. Capulator crossed Starfighter to a Colombian pheno he'd picked up traveling South America around 2011, forgot the seeds in his pants pocket, and ran them through the wash. His partner rescued them into a wet paper towel, all of them germinated—and then all of them died at two inches tall except number fifteen. That's the Miracle. He put that male's pollen on JAWS' Alien Cookies F2 at day twenty-five, popped ten of the resulting beans on January 1st of 2016, and the keeper out of those ten is the plant everybody has been chasing ever since. Cap had been making crosses since the nineties and he gave these seeds away on purpose, hand-picking growers who'd been taking real risks for the plant long before anyone was handing out licenses, specifically so it wouldn't become the next GG4. Then the last pack from that batch went up on what may have been the first Instagram seed auction to help out a friend who needed the money, sold for fifteen thousand dollars, and the quiet plan stopped being quiet. What it gave the world is the frost standard everything since has been measured against: resin heavy enough that the flower reads near-white from calyx tip down to the stem, green and violet showing through underneath, coral pistils, rounded well-stacked calyxes. Limonene runs away with this batch and it shows—candied citrus and tart cherry over vanilla cream, right about where Cap's own sour cherry yogurt line lands—then petrol and a lemon-cleaner sharpness on the back. Inhale is bright and light, exhale turns skunky and peppery-resinous with pine hanging around. Onset is fast and lands in the head first, clear and talkative and detail-obsessed through the first half hour, body warmth filling in behind without taking your train of thought with it. Tapers over a couple of hours, no crash. A daytime social roll, though it's a sprinter out of the gate—go slow if your tolerance isn't up there.
